Does anyone use Sams Club gas and what is your opinion on the quality of. They are always a few cents cheaper per gallon(at least here on the eastern shore of MARYLAND)but you always worry about who their suppliers are, even tho their are only a certain amount of distributers to begin with. Just interested in opions. THANKS

My son has a client that works for the state of FL as an inspector and the Murphy stations that are at the Sams locations sell the poorest quality fuels in his area. It still meets state requirements however but has more particulates so you may have a shorter fuel filter life. You will also find a lot of stations are going to 10% ethanol in their gas.

I believe Sam's club buys their gas from the lowest bidder. In Idaho Falls, Id I have seen the Flying J truck delivering fuel on many occasions.

I've bought from Sam's in Port Charlotte, FL for years and have never had a problem and my mileage is the same as other stations in FL. As for 10% ethonal come to WI 99% of the stations have it. Pretty hard to find one that doesn't.

We've been using Sam's Club gas and diesel for years and have never experienced any problems with our vehicle's performance.

It's just unbranded gas, blended additives to their recipe. Supliers Shell, Valero, Sunoco, Exxon, BP, Citgo, Texaco, etc, and a whole bunch you never heard of transmontaigne, placid, premcor, murphy etc.

If you are afraid of buying and using cheap gas. Then drive around all the stations in your area. Find the highest price one and buy their gas.

That should make you feel like you are buying the best quality.

I have used the Walmart or Murphy gas with no problems in over 10 years.
But I don't have a Sams Club close to me or know if their gas is cheaper then at Murphy stations nearby the Walmart stores.

We use it when we run across it here in the west, usualy easy in and out unlike some of the stations close to the main highways and we usualy pick up something in the stores also so we do not have to jump from one parking lot to another. JMHO

As J&R said, it is simply unbranded fuel. No better, no worse than others. Saying it is dirtier than others, sounds more like corporate bias than an honest evaluation of a product. LOL
