For those that say they will only have a Michelin tire on their vehicle, you need to read the latest report on their troubles. Also, those that think they are buying an American or European tire need to see this snippet,
"So far, the most promising thing it has done is increase its stake in South Korea's Hankook Tire."
Not putting them down for this move, but just want people aware that if they bad mouth a certain tire it may just be made by a major tire manufacture, or the Michelin tire you put on your vehicle, may just be made in the far east, the same as ALL other tire manufactures.

I had a local dealer try to sell me Hankook tires one time. I declined the opportunity.
Just the name put me off a little, I must confess.....

What works on a light car or truck may not work on a MH or trailer.
Most car/trucks you wear out by driving every day. RV's spend more time setting around.

Well, that would have been my question but you went and beat me to it. My day is ruined now........

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

Truth be known, I think Goodyear is in the same boat. It is a tough market out there today! And I have left both of them for Nokian for my car.

Read the article and do not see any real concern with Michelin. People are not buying new cars and trucks and are also driving a lot fewer miles which equates to a lot less demand for tires.

OK, I read the article, but don't see how Michelin is "in trouble" any more than many other manufacturing companies in this economy. What is your point?
