Good point, yardmaster. Personally, I think there is a difference, and that is that the TV tires are (usually) inspected more often and (usually) properly maintained. BTW, do any of you carry a "doughnut" spare for your TV? When I bought my jeep they tried to force once on me.
I've had a rotten TT tire blow out, 20 minutes after buying the trailer and literally on my way to buy all new tires. I carry one spare, although I did carry two for a while after the flat, just to make sure it wasn't an issue with suspension, tracking, etc.
I'm thinking thinking that I may also carry a can of fix-it goop, just as a last resort.

Good question about the extra spare for the TV. I only carry one of those, but in all the miles I've driven, I've never blown a tire on the TV, but I have blown 4 trailer tires. That's why I carry the extra tire/wheel for my TT.

I have one spare. It lives in the back of the truck while using our TT. When we get home I put it on the floor in the camper. If I need more than one spare We have a bigger problem and I will be using my AAA RV Plus.

is there a difference?
I carry one spare for the TT and one for the TV. But, IMHO there is a difference. Usually, tires on the TV can be located and replaced fairly easy. However, tires for the TT can be harder to locate in stock. Many dealers say they are available within 1-3 days.

I carry one for the TT and one for the TV. But my TV has 6 tires to start with and the DRW's aren't needed for my current TT. So I guess I have 3 spares on my TV!!!
