Congrats CrusingSusan, your doing all the right things but allow yourself to get some of the fun stuff, it is good for the soul, especially the dog eh! You need some time to bond with the dog and they are such a joy to have around, most of the time anyway! LOL.

Congratulations on all you have done. It sure is a lot of work to get ready.

I am curious about what you plan on getting for a kayak. I have a 17' kevlar kayak right now and while I love how it handles, I find it too much of a hassle to be moving it around by myself to get at the side of the RV where it sits and keeping it on top of the car all the time is not good either considering the length. I am about to try out an inflatable kayak to see how it handles and I think that will be a better solution for me.

Hope the rest of the stuff gets done fast so you can get on to the fun stuff!

I don't know where I'll go first. Kick-off is end of August.

As far as a kayak is concerned, I'll be getting something small (will really miss the handling of my 17fter) that will go vertically on the back of the view. Have to be practical about this. Will research that at a later date.

Why Full-Timing? Because at my age, I have maybe 40 more chances to see flowers bloom.

If you haven't done so, may want to look into paying your bills online and even have the statements online.. It will eliminate the bills trying to catch up to you and less snail mail to worry about..

Downsizing your snail mail will make living the fulltime lifestyle more enjoyable, at least, it did for me..

Is your computer set up for wireless or aircard?

Are you looking into going with satellite TV??

Just a couple more things not mentioned in your post...

Good luck on your new adventure..

One thing I learned to do on this forum is to sign up with CatalogChoice.com to stop delivery of the mountains of unwanted catalogs we got in the mail. It takes about 10 weeks for it to stop, but it really did do away with most of them. I am so grateful to have learned that here on this forum; it really helped. Now if we can just sell our house!!!

Remember to get the furfriends medical history and keep it with you in the event of an emergency you will be able to provide info.

It's mid Aug, you must be chompin' at the bit!!! If I can be of any help, just ask. Kathy

what about in case of emergency people lined up, power of attorney and an easy way to have health records transferred across country. Also perhaps filing something like a flight plan so loved ones can find you if something bad happens
