I prefer in.
2003 Jayco 308fbs eagle 33' tt, towed by a 2003 Ram 3500 slt, quad cab dually, cummins diesel ho, trailer towing package, with 6 speed manual. Hauls better 1/2, 3 kids, myself, and a 2003 ez go clays car.. I have added so far, neon lights, clearance lights, back up lights, black light, lift kit, mud tires, and everything necessary to make the golf cart street legal. It's now ready to spend the winter in the garage for more mods. More neon, strobe lights, alarm, a pa system, maintance, and whatever else that comes along. This golf cart does wheelies and travels thru 7 inches of mud when need be. Two honda eu2000i gens twinned to supply the electrical power. Latest addition an 04 Honda Goldwing. It your choice. We live in ours fulltime and the slides are sometimes out for a year at a time.

We leave them in the position they are in until we need to move them. Then we leave them in that position until we need to move them back.
We have found this keeps us from moving the slides in and out all of the time.

We leave ours out when sitting in the driveway. Simply because we do not have fridge access without the slides in the out position. All of our slides operate consecutively with one extend button. The kitchen slide is the 2nd slide to come out. We leave the FW plugged in at home all summer so, in order to have easy access between trips to stock the fridge, we leave them out.

Another vote for leaving them out. I keep electricity and water connected to ours while at home and like to do a walk through every couple of days just for peace of mind. BTW, water is connected 24/7 but not turned on.

We leave ours in as it doesn't fit in the storage to well with them open.

I vote for out. When we get home, I set it back up just like we were going to be in it. Meaning, I block it, level it, put out the slides, connect water and electricity, etc.

I see no reason to leave "out". Seals everything from coming inside, like dirt, dust etc. If I need it out it only takes a few seconds

I prefer in, but we do have it out when we get home to clean it. But otherwise in. I don't think it really matters technically it's just a matter of choice.
