We have an Allegro Bay 34 XB and the two air conditioners more than keep up. In fact, I find I am cold much of the time although DW (with the hot flashes) won't let me touch the thermostat!

Both retired. 1 year until son finishes college, then financial freedom! We lost Max, the Schnoodle after 16 wonderful years but now enjoy Nicklaus Von Schnoodle (Nicky), who is a full time job. Our new Allegro Bay 34 XB is wonderful.

my understanding is that RV AC's are designed to cool the outside air by 20 degrees so if it's 105 outside, the best you could hope for inside would be 85. However, the AC also lowers the humidity in the trailer & that makes it feel cooler also. We just got back from a camping trip & the temps were in the high 90's. The trailer temp was in the high 70's with humidity about 50% or a little less. Something else to keep in mind is that the more people there are in the trailer and the more people come in & go out, the harder it will be to keep the trailer cool. Same for cooking in the trailer.

I think there is more to do with the unit. I find one unit on mine is good to about 95 degrees outside. I've never run the back unit after the RV was Cooled down. Wife doesn't like the noise or the fan blowing. But I keep it at around 74 to 78, depending on her hormoone level, not hormone. Bill

I was in 116 degrees with only a 30 amp hookup so without the genset running I could only run the front AC. With only the front going I got the inside down to 90. I don't have awnings on my windows, only shades. One of the bad things was brushing your teeth with warm/hot water in the am, have some water in the fridge.

In 106 degree temps the single AC in our 1997 Holiday Rambler TT can't drop the inside temp below 81 degrees. Keep in mind that this is 11 years old so newer ACs may do better.

Too many variables between each coach to say.
A coach with dual pane windows has a big advantage over a single pane coach.
Awnings are a big plus. A see through front window cover is a big plus.
Pulling the front drapes over the front window when the sun is hitting it, a big plus.
A lucky parking spot in the shade of a tree is a big plus.
How many kids have the door open running in and out.
If you do it right you can be much cooler in a coach than doing it wrong.
I would not purchase a coach without dual pane windows.

How hot before my A/C can not keep up.. Haven't gotten there yet

However I can tell you this, 90+ with the slides in just one of the two does the job nicely

WIth the slides out you need 'em both

If you can cover the windshield with a solar screen it will do wonders. Best investment I've ever made for hot weather as are window awnings. The rear of the coach will take care of itself as there is so little window area compared to the front. Once it's cool if you have ducted air shut off all but one of the vents in the rear and direct this air to the front of the coach. Yes you'll have more drafts in the front but they will be cool drafts.
I guess that one of the biggest things is when you get the whole coach cool, keep it that way.
Temps you and others are talking about are probably in very low humidity areas and conventional ACs aren't as effecient as other parts of the country, that's why most homes in these areas have Swamp Coolers.
We've got a 40' MH with 2 13500 ACs. Were just at a mini rally in 96degree heat and Gulf Coast humidity. Got there with a cool coach and ran 1AC the whole time, very little shade, even though we had 50A service, didn't need it, could've done on 30A easily.

Our Imp will keep the inside temp around 80 if the coach has at least partial shade and the humidity isn't too high. Just keep the fans on hi and hope the condensers aren't freezing up. It gets really uncomfortable waiting for them to thaw out so you can restart the compressor. We're in SW mo right now and the coach is maintaining 85 with the slides in and both a/cs set for 80. They are cycling so the thermostat thinks it's doing the job.
When in Calif or Az the sun gets intense and it has a hard time keeping up sometimes particularly when in a 30a park. (Which we avoid if possible!!)
I see you have one of the Dame murals on your coach. Our 2000 Zanzi had one like that. On ours three of the cats had their eyes closed, the eyes on the one with them open were blue. We also had a menangerie in the backgrounds and tiger fur!!
