I'm going to install a "360 Cyclone" roof vent for my black water tank. Any ideas how I can tell which vent is black vs. gray? I know I'm setting myself up for some clever answers here.
Thanks!

Remove the cover (cap on the vent pipe) and put your ear to it, have someone flush the toilet, you should hear the water flowing pretty good. Bill

Good method.. There are a few others. You can also run water down the pipe while someone watches the clear elbow after you dump and says "Yup, it flowing"
Better yet.. Do 'em both

Don’t be fooled though. Sometimes Grey water can smell worse than Black.

Agree with Fulltimer. Put one on both stacks. I have only one roof-top vent that Y's into both black and gray tanks, and the reason I installed a 360 siphon was to reduce gray tank burps. Food particles in warm water turn into smelly brew in a matter of hours.
Another tip learned here on the forum -- if your vertical vent pipe has an air gap around it where it emerges from the roof, think about taking a rubber gasket or similar, cut a hole in it to fit over the pipe, then caulk it around the pipe and the edge of the gasket. This prevents gases from being pulled back into the coach from the top of the pipe. (It also rain-proofs the breach in the event your vent cap is ever damaged.)
I did both (seal the roof breach, install a 360 siphon) and I think I'm finally tank-burp free.
