Well, we've done it. We're ready to take the baby where there is no concrete and no campground. Any ideas? Western Nevada is also an option as we are based near Sacramento.

Thanks!

You could go anywhere with your rig, Dan. Start local - try Wilson Meadow just east of Cherry Lake on the western border of Yosemite. You could walk into the park from there up to Lake Eleanor.

Or go over to 395 between June Lake and Mammoth lakes. Lots of places on both sides of the highway. I like the unimproved campground at Glass Creek as a staging area for riding my ATV. But if you want to get away, a half mile south is Deadman Creek Rd. Just take that west 6 or 7 miles, you'll find a couple of places to camp as you go up.

Ping me if you want more details.

If you want something relatively close to Sac, try going up 50 to Crystal Basin. Great places to camp far from concrete, try Wentworth Springs or Gerle Creek, awesome spots.

How far north do you want to go? I am way up in NE Cal, Susanville/Almanor area and can boondock anywhere and everywhere.
