Here is a link to a posting that will answer that question Portal . The instability of this website is often frustrating. It usually crashes for me only after I have spent some amount of time getting the wording just right.

I have learned to copy the posting I am creating into a notepad file before attempting to "post message". That way if it has gone down, another portal may be working and I can copy and paste into that website.

I have always used www.rv.net, and have infrequently had issues with "crashes".

The site is created with cold fusion, and cold fusion while cool back in the day was prone to certain issues related to server memory leaks. This may be not be the case here but certainly could be a contributing factor to your issues.

Good advice for any website: Write it with your word processor program, then copy and paste. I lost a couple of long posts before on other sites, including a resume that took forever to write just right.

I've seen the mod's say that most of the forum's traffic in on RV.net. And that seems to be the portal that I've had the most problems with. So, I try to avoid that and use Trailer life or Woodall's, etc. Not that they are perfect, understand. Just a little less frustrating.

I've been a faithfull user of woodalls.....until recently they still haven't fixed the flashing screens. So I switched to coast to coast portal and it is very stable no problems.

I dunno, I've been using rv.net for awhile now and have never had any problems. I am surprised to hear that others have had trouble. Sorry to hear it.

Always used rv.net until recently. I was having so many problems with duplicate posts I started using the Woodalls portal and I do see the occasional flashing screen but, overall is much more reliable.

RV.Net, Trailer Life and now Woodalls. If I have problems with one I use one of the others but for the most part it is RV.Net.
