Being from south Texas, if we have to wear anything more than shorts and t-shirt, we are freezing. Those are some amazing pictures.
The idea of the tub for a fire pit is a good one. I camp on the beach and do not like the sparks flying about. I will try it.
Have fun freezing

I hope these were posted correctly. Haven't done it in a long time... These are from our trip last year between Christmas and New Years. Yosemite Valley's at about 4000', the waterfall is Bridalveil Falls, and Indian Grinding Rock is at about 2500'. Yosemite was too icy and slippery for us, so we left after a day and a night.

I'm a San Diegan. "Buried in snow" doesn't happen. How about these two shots? Note the dates, not really truly winter.

Last winter in Oregon was a pretty good one. Hopefully we'll get another DEEP ONE this coming winter. There is still snow in the Cascades in places. The patches on the different mountains are also a little bigger this summer.
My camper at Crater Lake Park Headquarters

Some Snow Ghosts looking over Crater Lake

A little icicle that goes to the ground

Gold Lake Sno-Park

Gold Lake outlet in March

I did a lot of snow camping in a tent for many years. The camper can't get back to some of the awesome places, but is sure is nice to have a shower in the morning.
I (2-10-05) bought a 2002 F350 CC SWD PSD and a new 2003 Citation 10'8. Rancho 9000X & Toyo M55's.I have been a tent camper all my life. I wanted more comfort while doing my Willamette Backcountry Ski Patrol & Crater Lake Ski Patrol duties.11

Hey INSAYN...Where's the picture of the crazy guy who was wearing shorts in those pictures? Dave.

Genetics can be a funny thing. I look JUST like my dad, and my dad looks a lot like my grandfather. If you take pictures from the same age, you can't really tell the four of us apart.
My brother looks like our Mom's dad. Same thing going back several generations up that side of the family. My brother and I have little resemblance. My nephew looks like me... you put him beside my son, and they look like brothers. My brother says "what gives?"
I respond that it's OK because my middle daughter looks like my sister.
