That's just a matter of how far you can get from the bay area. Alturas is nearly normal.

I've an F350 2004 also. I did disable the seatbelt alarm, but have not done the autolock. I take it you were successful with both. Time to go reread the manual.

Yes Rick, with both and I’m still dancing. I was contemplating pulling the old 77 K30 out of the weeds and refitting a 12 valve Cummins to get away from all the bells and whistles. Now I maybe I can live with this truck
