I have a Starcraft 2105 with a single propane tank system. I would like to change this to a two propane tank hook-up. Can anyone offer advice?

You will need to purchase a new base-plate, auto change-over regulator, new pig-tails, the threaded rod and wing-nut that goes between the tanks and the "T" bracket that holds down the tank and is also the bracket that holds the new regulator.
Very simple to do if you have the room on the trailer tongue.
Parts should run around $100.00 plus the cost of the new tank.

If you have an auto wrecker in your area, seel if they deal in RV's or if they know of who does and check out picking up your hardware parts there. I would by the gas fittings new though.

We just switched back to single from the double tank. Be careful of the tongue weight. 20 lbs extra on the tongue makes a big difference in towing.
Our reasons or switching? The dual/auto switch over/very expensive regulator got clogged and there wasn't enough pressure for our furnace. We could run the fridge and stove and the furnace fan would go on but the furnace wouldn't ignite. That was a trouble shooting experience for sure. We had to replace the regulator cause it was clogged and decided to go back to the single tank. For our weekend outings we weren't using more than half a tank so having the auto switch over was extra weight on the tongue I didn't want.
Good luck! Either way you'll be happy (comfort in auto switch over or more $ in your pocket, hey I'm an optimist :>).

The angle iron rack on my pup was big enough for 2 tanks. The dealer only provided one. Teh rack had 2 holes at the center for the tie down kit to mount a single tank. There were also 2 more sets of holes to mount 2 tanks side by side. I relocated the tank to one of those sets of holes and added a second tank with an additional tiedown kit I purchased from the dealer. If a tank goes empty I disconnect it and connect to the other tank. I seldom run out of propane from the tank I am connected to and usually use the second tank to run high pressure propane accessories. I didn't see any use in adding the aotu change over kit due to my needs.

The thing I would doublecheck is the angle iron placement for your battery. Our tank and battery are offset, because for some strange reason Jayco has them too close together. To put on an additional tank would require us to move our battery forward, so short of taking the trailer to a welding shop to move the angle irons, I guess we'll deal with having only one tank and running out in the middle of a cold weekend right when we need propane the most!
