How far is Cedar Ridge camping resort from IUPUI? If that's where my daughter winds up going to college, I'd be interested in checking that place out.

We have a convention at the RCA dome twice a year and stay at Lake Haven..We are there a week or so both times and have had no problem with the place..They have been working on the road and lake area for a while and is better every time..There are at times potholes, Big rig friendly, awning to awning sites, wifi and minutes for downtown and other large areas..
I would suggest reservations..

And isn't Cedar Ridge a membership-type CG?

Unless something has changed in the last couple of months, no Cedar Ridge is not a members only or a seasonal. I considered loaning my rig this past weekend to a co-worker and checked their website for availability and they had a space available.
It would be about an hour from IUPUI, maybe just a bit more depending on traffic & stoplights.

From the Cedar Ridge website:
Cedar Ridge
They must have rolled back the date for the membership only era, as I was checking their website early this year and ruled them out due to this new policy soon to take place.
Another CG in the Bloomington area is Lake Monroe Village.

Another option for you is the campground at Walnut Ridge in New Castle IN. Nice place about 60 minutes from downtown INDY.
This is a family run RV park associated with a very large RV dealership. However, the campgound is very nicely maintained with plenty of shade.

We did an overnight at Indy KOA this spring and found it to be pretty decent. Not a " resort " but plenty nice for a few nights. The dog walk/ off-leash area is very nice and plenty of places for the doggy to hunt bunnies in various wood piles and tree lines.
We didn't use the pool, but it looked to be decent.
We camped in a class-A garage-coach in a full hook-up pull thru. Everything worked as I recall. No problem with the site not being level or tight turns or anything like that. Close to Indy for access into the city. I don't recall ever stopping elsewhere right in that area so don't have any other suggestions.

We stayed there last week for the drum corps championships. Very nice campground but it's a long haul to Indy up route 37.
