We've been to the Keene Pumpkin Fest before. It's really cool to see all the thousands of pumpkins lit up on staging at night. They have all kinds of vendors too. Just beware that the traffic line going into Keene is crazy and people are shoulder to shoulder in the center of town. The traffic starts on the RTE 101 bypass in Milford and goes all the way into Keene and that's an hour away at that point, without traffic. We had to form an unbreakable human chain with our kids and our neighbor's kids working our way through the crowd so we wouldn't lose anyone. If you're staying up there, then you won't have to deal with the traffic all the way up, but it will still be crowded. It's fun to see once, but I probably wouldn't do it again just because of the huge number of people there. One other thing, they have busses at the school to bring people to the center of town due to limited parking.

Sitting out by the pool today, hard to believe it's almost time to close it back up already...last year I closed it around August 24th, because we were taking the trip down to NC to possibly purchase the Class A Bounder and I didn't want to be messing with it on our return...almost a year already with the "new" RV as well...time flies when you are having fun!

Hi All

After reading Gerry's post and thinking about Steve's earlier post I looked at the Calendar. Coulumbus day WE is sorta early with two more weekends following prior to Halloween, is anyone planning on camping after Columbus Day?

I'm wanting to maybe get one or two more trips in before winterizing and was thinking about a trip to southern Vermont, trying to make up for missed trips in New England this summer.

Hi Everyone, Glad to see things are starting out on there usual vibrant note. Columbus weekend will be here before we know it.
Karen, Gerry talked me into doing the hot dogs and hamburgers again (have to blame someone). If anyone wants to do a salad or two that would be great.

Hi All

For those who are less fortunate in the vacation department and want to cheer and snare, I will be returning to work today after a long hard but enjoyable vacation

Hi Hutch, thanks for offering to do the hot dogs and hamburgers again this year.
Our Friday night cookout is always a treat, especially when cooked by our grand rally poobahs! Let me know if you want me to post other food items for folks to bring - hot dog/hamburger rolls, chips, condiments - along with some sort of salad (potato, pasta).

Jay, enjoy your first day back at work! sis, boom, bah!!!!

Wow, pretty quiet in here today. Where is everyone?

Jay, did you survive your first day? You probably need a nap by now. I'm sure you're exhausted after your full six-hour day! lol

Just a reminder that we have 2 more sites available if anyone is interested in joining the rally. Please let me know ASAP.
