Just an FYI, lots of positive interest in a 2009 NES Rally at Indian Hollow, and some past attendees interested as well, NJCats, Tweety Girl, Freeman2000, Captain Ray...
Also, Bob & Ellen (rbjohn4) have sold their truck and fifth wheel, so they are out of the RV action. Suka plans on staying in Alaska, & a bunch of people just don't get on the forum very often!
We have fifteen interested, a bunch of maybes, and a few maybes coming over from Windy Acres CG, so all in all, a good start.
If anyone here has someone that would be interested, let me know and I'll contact them with the details.
Hi, i am a single mom of 3 girls ages 12,10,and 3 1/2. would this rally be approp for my family or are my children a lil young. i have been looking to attend a group camping event but don't have camping friends. I have a HTT and camping for 9yrs.- Nancy
Nancy, this would definitely be appropriate for your family. We have had children of all ages attend this rally. And the kids would get a hoot out of the halloween costumes and trick-or-treating they do that weekend. We'd be happy to have you join us if you want to meet this great group of people.
On another note, can anyone tell me how the traffic usually is from Rochester, NH to Freedom, NH on RT. 16? Is it really slow due to traffic? I'm debating changing my usual route (101-93-104-25-16) which is 109 mi. at 2hrs. and 20 mins with no traffic to try to avoid the massive traffic jam from Bow through Cantebury on 93N. So my options are 101-125-16 which is 109 mi. 2 hrs. 28 mins, or 101-93-28-16 which is 100 mi, 2hrs. 33 mins. I'm just not sure if going either of these two ways would be better or worse than what I am travelling now traffic-wise. If anyone knows what my better option would be, please let me know. With it being a holiday weekend, it's probably a cr*p shoot either way.
I can't offer you any advice on the proposed routes, everytime I try a different route to go to DB it takes me longer! I really think Freedomm should be part of Maine, cause " you just can't get hair from thair" ay ya" lol
Nancy
You'll fit in just fine, I have a 13 y/o daughter and an 11 y/o son, and there will be plenty of other kids there, it's just a fun place for the kids and grown up's alike.
Gerry
Proposed IH Rally, Bruce T will more than likely be joining me, looks like it's going to be another Guy's weekend for us, Toni has her annual dance recital the last we in May, ( can't you see me crying ). Green with Envy said no for the same reason her DD dances at the same studio. So looks like 15 strong responses, as Larry the Cable Guy would say " Let's Git er Dun! ", lol.
Anyone else interested in Oct 24&25, ? As soon as I hear back from Dave ( Dave? Dave? Dave?, "Dave's not here man," lol ok Mikey , can you tell me what album that liric is from? lol) I'll be booking my site.
( Mike one more hint: Shama, lama, ding dong)

Got a PM reply from dylansmom (Jackie) today about the NES rally 2009...no committment because they don't know where they'll be in May/June, but if in the vicinity would love to attend.
For those of you who don't know them, Jackie & Greg were at our first two NES Rallies, then sold their house in Maine and went fulltiming out west...still out there! Dylan is their doggie. She sends her best to all of us NES ralliers and Danforth Bay ralliers as well!
Misty May is my daughter's all time favorite idol seeing she plays volleyball also. I love watching them play beach volleyball. It always amazes me how fast they are along with the amazing kills/digs they make.
Gerry, I bet you and your beach studs are ready to take on this USA team by now, right?
