If you have the leaf spring type axles, there is nothing wrong with placing a jack beneath the spring shackle plate. And I don't care what Dexter axle says to do. This is the same point that the weight is transferred from the spring to the axle. Now if you have the torflex type, that might be different.

I kinda LIKE what Dexter says to do . . mainly 'cause it's no big deal!
(and the trlr mfgr says the same thing).

Depending on your jack and clearance - you may not be able to get
the jack under the perch anyway. The frame is a "slam dunk"

I have lifted my 34' trlr with a "combo" of several of the posts.

BEST -
trlr hooked up to TV, use a low board under the good tire
(*NOT* the one you plan to remove)
Although you can get more height this way (higher block/s), I prefer not to - stress the (uneven) axles, simply because there's no need to.

Jack under the frame with a bottle jack to raise the wheel the rest of
the way.
You can use a 2 x 4 block if you're worried about the small contact point of the bottle jack and the (steel) frame.

I have done this without being hitched to the tow vehicle - (puts
more stress on front jacks). Make sure you are "well chocked".

IMO - no thanks on jacking under the axles, even under the spring perch.

BTW - not sure why you want both wheels off at the same time,
but the solution would be a bottle jack at either side of the
two wheels - jacking the frame.

Everyone has his/her preferences - I still like doing it like the
manual says. (Been doing it that way since my first TT in '75.)
So, whatever rings your chimes - or lifts your "home".

I use 2- 6 ton bottle jacks under frame. if 3 3in pieces of metal can hold up the whole side of camper,2 jacks should hold it when still.jmho If you jack of the spring u-bolt there isn't much surface area and jack could slip.

Since you have torsion axles, jacking from the frame is essentially the same as jacking from the axxle tube anyway. The axles are bolted directly to the frame. If you jack from either axle tube, both wheels on that side will come off the ground at about the same time, it's probably not a good idea to put all that weight on 1 axle tube. If you jack it from the frame, both wheels will come off the ground at about the same time too, try it, you'll see.

I also try to leave my trailer hitched to the truck, I don't know, it just seems safer than having all the weight on 1 leg of the landing gear. JMHO

So here we are 530 miles into our first trip with our new 5th wheel and the left front brake locks up while slowing from 60 mph to pull into a gas station. Put a nice flat spot on the tire and shook up the Mrs. So after we stopped, I backed up an few inches to release the brake and go drop $100 on a fill up. In the campground, under the rig I went with the Dodge bottle screw jack and screw driver. As suspected, the brakes must have not been adjusted from build to delivery. Here's how I lifted each tire just high enough to roll them and adjust the brakes.

Drivers side of my trailer frame no problem raise my 5ver.

Passenger side frame has gas line and wire harness right on the frame, no where to put jack, so i have no choice but not to use the frame???

Short Flagstaff - I commend you on your observation - the frame is rigid. Yes, do hook up to your TV for jacking.

I agree most with bombero. I just adjusted my brakes 2 weeks ago and used the 'poor mans' version of this (its called 2X8 lumber but it did work and was faster and easier than a jack.

Here is an option for lighter trailers:
Light trailer axle jack

If for some reason you need to lift both wheels, I think I would still use this same procedure and then use a bottle jack or small floor jack for the 2nd wheel/axle.

If you have a large enough floor jack, I would first hook the TV to the 5th wheel, then use the floor jack behind the wheels you want to lift. This would be like having the axles just a little further back.
