As you remember we decided to sell the TT since the kids outgrew the bunks. When it came time for the guy to pick it up, DH just couldn't part with it! We new it would take a whole lot more money to replace it, and we realized in a few years the kids will be gone.
So, Sunday he tore out the bunkhouse and is rebuilding it to fit the kids.
I will take pictures and finally learn how to post them once it is done.
Now I get to put everything back in it, I'm going to "lighten" up on a lot of stuff when I do this.

I shouldn't say this, but we never get emotionally attached to anything! Although I'm liking my new car a little too much .
The reason he didn't want to sell it is because we bought it new, everything works perfect, and it is as clean as it was when we bought it. Plus, we did so many upgrades to make it work better.

These kind of upgrades are always interesting to look at...we'll all be waiting for you pictures. Posting pics is easy, though it's seems a bit complicated the first couple of times.
I think you made a good decision. If you can upgrade, why sell and start all over again? As you said, you'd take a beating on the price, and with the kids growing, you'll find that they don't want to make all the future trips, as their interests and friends start to pull them away from "the nest".
Hope to see those pictures soon...

We got a little emotionaly attached to ours. We had far outgrown our base model bunk house with no slides. When we tradeded it in we kinda felt "bad" and hoped someone would have good memories in it like we did. Kids took one last picture of next to it and DW and I almost wanted to cry. I'm sure the new one will be filled with lots of memories too!

This how we felt with the first TT we bought as a family. We still look at the pics of the past trips, the differant units we had along the way and the best memories were in that 26' no slide bunk house. We learned a lot with that camper, met all our good friends we camp with today in it.Sometimes growing has its pains.

my folding trailer left home Sunday I bought it in 2006 when that's all I could afford.
Last year I bought a TT and decided to sell the pop-up.
I hated to see it go but I know I will enjoy the TT lots more.
when I head off to Florida again this winter.
