I posted this in "Routes" already, but I wanted to cover my bases. Is the road to Point Sublime ok for a 2 wheel drive when it is dry? I have a front wheel drive minivan.

Yes, but the road is blocked by a gate where North Cheyenne canyon meets High Drive. You can park in the parking lot and walk from there.

About how far is the hike? Is that the gravel road west off of Rt. 67 by the Kaibab Lodge?

I am talking about Point Sublime between Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek in Colorado.
Now that you have clarified your question a bit, you still assume we all know what you are talking about, I have no idea.

So... to add clarity to your question, and I am making an assumption here, you are talking about Point Sublime at the Grand Canyon?

If you are talking about Pt Sublime on the North Rim, a ranger told me that the road was not suitable for my 4x4 Pathfinder. Don't know if that is true.

Two years ago when we where at the north rim the Ranger really was agianst anybody going to Point Sublime that being siad we did it with our old truck, Ford F-350 CC Dually 4X4. It had been dry (the forest was on fire) and there was still muddy spots on the trail. I would say it may just be to much for a mini van
