Ms"B"Haven doesn't have a Fantastic Fan and I would like to add one. We had one in our previous Class A and really used it a lot.

My Class B has a vent in the middle of the van and above the stand-alone shower in the back of the van.

Should I buy just one and put it in the middle? Do I buy it from Camping World and have them install it? How are they powered?

Thanks

I have the same question only want to put one in our fifth wheel. There is a light just about a foot away and wondering if we would be able to tie into the power there?

They are 12 volt so wires have to be hooked up. You should put it near cooking area so that heat goes out, and it will draw from the windows when you want ventilation. They don't work cheap at CW so get an estimate frist. Sometimes they have specials on items, so ask if they have one on vent and or installation.

Not sure where the best place to located it, but they're real easy to install if you have any mechanical abilities. If you have a 12 volt light near You can splice right off that. I installed mine a few weeks ago, a couple of Hrs and I was done. The hardest part of the installation is cleaning off the old sealant... The instructions that come with the fan are very easy to follow.

Maybe Ms"B"Haven would prefer this fan so that if you left the vent open in the rain she wouldn't get her insides wet.

We absolutely love our MaxxFan here in rainy ol' Oregon. It was the best replacement for the very old, broken bladed Fantastic Fan that originally came with the van.

I've left it open most of the time, even in the rainy season just to ensure there's fresh air in the van.... never gotten a drop of water inside.

Hdere's a second or third for the MaxxFan, even in drought-stricken WNC. I only close it when the A/C is on, or in winter. No leaks even in hard rain, parked or driving. Good for ventilation when parked unused. It fits in the same spot a FF would, and has a fairly low outside profile even when open, unlike the typical tall vent covers used with the FF to get a similar capability.

I have heard some very good things about the MaxxFan, but not much about warranty. I do like their design concept.

I have heard some amazing things about the warranty on the Fantastic Fan. Most owners claim that Fantastic treats them like they have lifetime coverage.
