Wow it is amazing what LOVE will do and how it helps Gods creatures to heal even with the worst of injuries. This little one came to you for a reason. It brought compassion and caring to you and your son for another living thing and now your son helps out at the vets. What a wonderful story. If this little angel had not come to your house perhaps your son would not taken this path. Thank you both for taking this little one in and caring for him. He will repay you back with unconditional love for the rest of his life. It is nice to hear that he is running around with energy that is a great sign. I hope you will keep him in as in indoor cat so he will never have to go through this again. Thank you for being so kind to this little precious baby. Your son is truly a special person also for taking such good care of him and for continuing to help other animals. The world needs more people such as yourselves. Your baby is beautiful. Keep us posted please. Hugs for you and your son and hugs and prayers for your ChuayChan

Chuay was asleep when I got up this morning, but as soon as I opened his crate (I used to keep him in a play pen, but now keep him in a large dog crate at night)he came out and stretched his legs and began finding toys to play with.

He has found that housefly's are annoying but so fun to try to catch and run after.

I have learned to keep my purse out of reach, because Chuay knows how to empty the contents of it on the floor This morning after placing the contents back in my purse I could not find my bottle of glucose spray, Chuay decided that the glucose spray was made for him and here is he playing with it.

Don't worry I picked it up after I took pictures of him playing with it and it is back in my purse and my purse will now live on the counter.

Here is Chuay and his canine dad.

I applied the ointment to his eye this morning and I noticed something that I did not see before, on the very top of his eye is a thick white spot, and I believe this is the scratch in his cornea. His 3rd eyelid is getting better, but the scratch looks bad.
I know I have said this before, but I do hope that his eye can be saved. But after seeing the damage I am not so sure. Only time will tell, and on Monday at 9:00am I will know for sure what needs to be done.

Chuay is good at hiding as well

After playing for an hour it is now nap time.

This is a great story! Although dogs are my personal favorite, I love to hear about cats....especially when they have such happy endings!

My other neighbor across the street who lives next door to the man with the feral cats, came over this morning to tell me the good news. From my understanding Animal Control has told the man with the cats that unless the cats are altered and have their shots and proof that this has been done then he can keep his cats if not then they will all be seized. Well, the man does not live at the house where he keeps the cats, so my neighbor and I walked across the street to snoop. The wooden boxes that the man used to shelter the cats were gone, there were no food or water bowls, and there were NO cats/kittens over there. There was a notice on his door, but we did not read it.

Usually when you look across the street you can see the cats in the front yard. We did not see any sign of any cats.

Hopefully this will stay like this and if he does decide to get more cats that he will have them altered and taken care of.

Tomorrow morning at 9:00 I take Chuay in to see the Vet to see if his left eye can be saved or not. I have seen just a little improvement with the two different ointments that I have been putting in his eye, but I am not sure if it is enough improvement to satisfy the Vet. I will let you all know what the final decision is when I get back.

Both Chuay and I appreciate the prayers. Here is a picture I took of Chuay this afternoon, seems these days with all his energy he hardly stands still and most pictures come out with a Grey blur

Here is a picture my son took of Chuay in motion.
