I hope as well that your little kitty's eye can be saved. But he is so young and has probably already adapted to one good eye. Remember, too, that animals seem to get along as well as (if not better) than humans do when it comes to adapting.

Love and hugs from me and my two rescues.

I just got back from the Vet's office. Chuay's Vet said that there is major progress with his left eye and he will not lose it!!!

I am to keep applying the ointment to his eye 4 times a day until it has healed up.

Chuay goes back in a week for his shots and I am to take in a stool sample to see if he needs to be wormed.

Also the Vet did a test and she told me that Chuay can see out of his eye, it may not be total sight at this time, but once the cornea has healed he may be able to have total sight out of the eye.

Chauy now weighs 2 pounds and 15 ounces

Now I can take a huge sigh of relief..

What good news!! That is the best possible now that he has his forever home, he has sight out of both eyes.

How wonderful that after all little kitty has been through, he will come out of it loved and in good health. He has the best of everything.

That little guy is a keeper. Amazing how God's creatures kick in to help another. My six year old big bog took over as mother for the little one we found two months ago. He watches over him everywhere they go.

That eye will get better, keep praying.

The Soft Paws I ordered came in the mail today.. The instructions were easy..The interesting part was getting Chuay to sit still while wrapped up in a towel while I applied the caps to his claws...Let's just say there was a lot of meowing going on in here and his canine parents kept looking at me as if they thought I was hurting their baby.

Oh, by the way, the adhesive is similar to Super Glue and it is wise not to get any on your finger and it is also a good idea not to touch your face if you get glue on your finger by accident..Not that I would know anything about this

The caps are on and Chuay is now no longer able to scratch dogs, furniture, my hand or anything else for that matter, and he is happily playing with the free cat toy that came with the Soft Paws..

That is wonderful news! I checked in just to see what the vet said, and just about have tears in my eyes. Good for you, for taking this little soul in. He'll always be so precious to you.

YAY for Chuay! Ask your vet to show you how to clip his little nails-he won't like it at first, but he will eventually get used to it! I declawed my first cat because she was trashing my house, and I really didn't know any better. I cannot begin to tell you the guilt I felt watching her limp around and shaking her paws. Bobby and Moon are both fully armed (!) and as long as I keep them trimmed, I have no troubles. Moon was a year old feral when I adopted her, and she tolerates the clippings well.
