I can certainly understand why they don't allow FORDs. I'll bet that GMCs are ok...

Seriously, HOA can be problematic, especially for us RV'ers. As others have posted, one is wise to check these issues out carefully before signing on the line.

This is funny. "Luxury Trucks":

"Stonebriar HOA rules allow several luxury trucks on driveways, including the Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Avalanche, Honda Ridgeline and Lincoln Mark LT."

No knocking the Avalanche or Ridgeline, but how do those fall into the Luxury Truck category?

I'd agree with you that the law, right and wrong, and common sense do not always match, and that the buyer must always beware.

But, you have no common sense and are a huge snob since you feel it's great that an F-150 is verboten and Lincoln-branded essentially identical truck is not.

It will be interesting to see if this guy will be able to affect the law with common sense, but that's not guaranteed.

I bet Texasbaskets is really concerned that you don't like him! I guess you will have to lump me in with him. Now I'll worry about this for the rest of the day. Woe is me!

To the original poster, go to your local lincoln dealer, get their stinking badges and re-badge your F-150. This is really azzanine, same vehicles, different badging and one is allowed and one not. I'd just re-badge the sucker.

So it`s OK for me to park a 20yr. old clapped out Suburban everyday driver in the driveway, but not a 1 or 2 year old Lariat/KingRanch F series! that I may use to haul around a $50k fifth wheel!

Thank god I live in a neighborhood where there is no HOA! and our subdivision is just as nice as the ones with houses twice what ours is worth.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. What's the difference between an F-150 and an Avalanche as far as status is involved? And a Honda ridgeline???? Ain't that just a modern day Dodge Rampage???

I think that maybe certain car dealer owners live in Stonebriar and they are influencing what vehicles are allowed....maybe?

He just needs to clean out his garage and put his truck where it belongs!!!

Yes, spoken as someone who has no concern whatsoever for others, nor common sense, nor right and wrong. Truly the definition of a snob.

Thanks, but I don't live there (and wouldn't). I just heard this local news story and thought it would be an interesting topic to debate on this forum.
