We are considering purchase of a Heartland toyhauler to replace our bunkhouse to give the growing boys more room and a place for their toys (and mine). I am looking for comments on Heartland quality and customer sevice. I am also looking for comments on people who may have moved from a bunkhouse to a toyhauler.

Craig,

We recently upgraded from a 28' bunkhouse TT to a Heartland Razor 3100ds and have found the transition to be pretty easy. The kids love the extra room in the back! So far we have be very happy with the quality of our unit.

Cant speak about going from the bunk house to toy hauler, but I can about the heartland unit. If you are in the market to spend that amount of money, I would buy a raptor. I have towed both, used both and can say that they are both beasts. The fit and finish of the raptor is more sold, three of the heartlands that are in our group have had electrical problems and two have already had pin box fractures.

Just for the record, I would never buy a unit that big, but if I had to make a choice, there you go.

Just my opinion.

Craig, have you thought about posting this on the toyhauler site?

Check out Heartland Owners Forum for lots of info. I think it's great to have a forum where factory reps actually participate.

We just moved from a Jayco 305BHS to a Cyclone 3210. We chose the Cyclone because it was the shortest floorplan with a bunk over the garage. I'm now in the process of turning the garage into a bedroom and office - though you can also buy beds in the garage as a factory option.

We have only had minor issues so far, though we have only towed a few thousand miles and camped 2 1/2 weeks in the unit. Over all we are pleased, both with the quality of the Heartland product and with the choice to replace our bunkhouse with a TH.

We have a 3912 Heartland Cyclone. We searched for about 6 months and after we would look at the different trailers we ckept coming back to the Heartland Trailers. We love the Garage with Double Queen Beds and the Washer/dryer compartment in the Garage. The Floorplan was what we were looking for and the complete separate Bathroom was a plus too. the 2 entry doors, all the Cabinet space, and the hide away air mattress which is a love seat was a great idea. It tows excellent(08 Ford F-350 Twin Turbo Diesel. We have had ours for about 1 1/2 yrs and go about every other month and WE love our Trailer. We have had little warranty issues but our service ctr and Heartland had no problem taking care of them.

We just purchased our 2nd Heartland Razor. The first 3212sb had all the options captain's chairs, bottom bunk in the rear, also a couch looking both ways, oak wood trim. When our son bought a 5er with a garage, my wife really liked the garage which she didn't the first time, I was able to sell it.Ordered the newest 3110ds with the sliding glass patio door dividing the living space from the garage, entertainment center, and it also has the couch option for the rear bottom queen bunk. We love it, just got back from 3800 mile trip to Sturgis and Yellowstone last week.
Good Luck, Big G

Raptors are good but can't open the basement door while the entry door is open. Poor design. Also the Raptor that I looked at had the generator exhaust coming out on the entry door side. Poor design. Needless to say, I bought a Cyclone. I smile every time I use it. We have been very happy with it. Kids love staying in the garage with plenty of room and all their electronic gizmos mounted in there.

I was gonna get the Cyclone 4012 at first but I didnt like that you cant get the garage area larger then 12'. I tow alot of toys and if i went with a garage unit, it would have to be in the 15-20' range. That was my only dislike about the trailer though.
