Is there a web site or a service that ranks reputable RV Manufactuers?
This question has to do with quality of workmanship, product, and general overall quality of a 5th Wheel coach/trailer. It seems like every owner I have talked to has had issues with the manufacturer. My last 5th wheel has been a real trial for the past 3/4 years. I would like to trade if off but feel I can't afford to right now. If I do will I get more headaches?

Any suggestions about finding out who is the better/best prefered manufacturs would be helpful. I was impressed with the Sunny Brook line about a year ago. Can't remember who makes this coack. Any one have issues or satisfaction with this line?

Thanks, Darwin

I have this site bookmarked--it has links to lots and lots of RV Manufacturers:

RV Buying Guide

Sunnybrook's website is located here:

Sunnybrook

RV Consumer Group RV Consumer Group has some material on the quality and manufacture of RVs that you might find useful. You have to pay for it, but I felt the $150 or so for the material was worth it when I was shopping for my TT.

By the way, Sunnybrook has an excellent reputation for putting out a very high quality product. They will be on my short list of 5ers when we shop for one in a few years.

MF, thanks for the sites. Will look them over and add to my education. Gulf Stream is not the best company to deal with. The left hand never knows what the right is doing and you get so many different stories.
Thanks again, Darwin

RV buying guide lists most major mfgs. but does not rank by value.

You can order one of these CD's http://www.rv.org/readcd.html

or visit your dealer and see if they have one you can browse. Most dealers that are selling better rigs I would think would gladly let you browse and point out where their rigs rate.

When we bought our SunnyBrook in 2001, it was ranked #2 against all the rest.

Check this thread (similar questions) for Heartland.

One to consider is Northwood MFG. They make the Arctic Fox, Nash, and Desert Fox. The Co. is located in La Grande, Or. This is a Co. that is not having any financial problems--they sell more than 50% of the campers in Canada and Alaska. They are a well made, heavy duty, 4 seasons camper also designed to go off road. Good luck, Lars

www.rv.org or follow the earlier posters link to RV Consumer Group. If you google rvconsumer group you will get a sales web site which is NOT the same thing. IMHO www.rv.org is the only place to find OBJECTIVE info on rv quality.

I was going to post it but you beat me to it!

They are well built, which results in them being heavy.
