Box Wines / Bag Wines.
I found out if you freeze the wine in just the bag (remove the box)- it makes a great ice - cooler gel pack.
The bag fits and molds easy to my freezer in the RV, and then lays flat in the cooler.
Also on super hot days I can move the bag from the freezer to the cool side to help out.
For a while now I was thinking of using an empty wine bag refilled with low-tox anti freeze, but the wine itself and the alcohol tends to stay liquid down to about -2dec and turns into a gel.
Just FYI

Yes thats why I left it wine and not the antifreeze. You can drink the wine when it thaws.
I suggest a Zinfindele - as I just hate white wine and your reds are best served at celler temp. A Zin slushy is great

We have been using the wine filled bags for many years in our coolers. No watery mess at the bottom of the coolers, seems to last longer than ice, packs much better than solid ice or cooler packs, plus wine for the DW to drink. The best part for us Cannuks it is cheap, from 4.99 to 9.99 a five litre box versus 35.00 to 45.00 for the same box in Canada
