... but not in the way it usually does!!! Instead of beckoning me with visions of expanding thighs ... this time it is beeping at me: "door ajar! door ajar!" Of course, the door IS shut tight. And if it beeps long enough ... the fridge then shuts OFF. It gets me out of bed about 5x's a night. (!#&%mumph$#@*grrr) I push on the doors and the beeping stops ... for a while.

I'm on an island and can't get to an RV repair place for a few weeks (everyone here has BOATS -- go figure). Anything I can check on my own?
It is a four-door Norcold (two freezer compartments on top).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Book says to open door... is refer light on... if so, depress light switch. If doesn't go off, replace the switch.

This happened to us and what I did, now this is very technical , I put a bandaid over that little latch/button at the top of the frig. Mine was the right hand side. yours could be the other. It worked for us.

I wish we could help, but have no idea. We have the same frig, our door fell off while in Alaska, thankfully dh knew how to repair it. Possibly, you could call technical support at Norcold.

Good luck!

make sure there is not something on one of the shelves that puts pressure on the door bins when closed. Mine is THIS sensitive. When closed, the door bins almost touch the shelves, so anything that sticks out beyond the edge of the shelf will apply pressure.

Also check that flap on the edge of the left door that forms the center seal. Make sure there is nothing binding it or making it stick.

Hey, I'll join THAT club. One day when I closed the right door on mine it fell off on the floor. Turns out there are screws on the bottom hinges that can back out over time as you open and close.

Thanks for reminding me - going to tighten mine again right now!

I depressed the light switch for both doors as you suggested, and they both turn off.

BTW, the fridge is a Norcold model 1200LRIM. The "dr" light is repeatedly coming on, plus the audible alarm (beeping). My manual says that means the door has been open for more than two minutes. But it happens when the door is closed, even just a couple of minutes after I push on both doors to make sure they are closed. Sometimes I have I come home to find the fridge beeping and it has shut itself off.

Not good. I've re-leveled the rig, hoping that might help. It has, some.

I'm just using tape (Mine's on the left.). LOL!

The other responses came in whilst I was answering JFG. I'll check those things out. Thanks!

I had the same problem with mine. It got so bad that I got an adujustable shower curtain rod to hold mine closed until I could get the door's adjusted. Have had no problems since adjustments. It is very annoying during the night.
