Today, I sold a twenty-year old vehicle that leaked oil and had been parked in my concrete driveway far too long.
Now we have to park another vehicle over that spot or find a way to clean-up the old grease and accumulated dirt.
What should I tell my wife to use?

Your wife should tell you to use Krud Killer Driveway Cleaner and Degreaser.

Also HomeDepot/Lowes both have a number of good choices for this job. If you have a pressure washer include that in the project.

I've always cleaned it up using a good laundry detergent containing enzymes, using warm water and a scrub brush, or some "Zep Extra Heavy Duty Concrete and Masonry Floor Cleaner" in gallon jugs at Home Depot. I always seem to spill oil when changing my Diesels enourmous oil supply! Come to think of it, even when I change our ord Escorts oil, too!

I used a 3500 psi pressure washer on my driveway and it did a great job.

Half and half bleach and water, followed by good wash down. Caution, this may leave former oily spot cleaner than the rest of driveway.

Thanks for your helpful ideas. Keep um coming.
I didn't think my wife visited this forum.
I'll use one of these ideas as soon as I get out of this cast .

There are several products that will take up the surface oil, Krud Kutter listed above, Sherman Williams has a product, Several other places have products
But if it's been sitting there for years it's soaked into the concrete and you will never get it all out.
You may find a nice pressure washer helps too.. I often have used that trick

Scrap or power wash the build up off then spray the drive way down with Muratic Acid, then power wash it off. Lowes sells Muratic Acid driveway cleaners and the instructions are on the back. I put it in my swimming pool because it's half the price of pool muratic acid. Both are identical.

Using your replys I stopped at an Auto Zone store here but they did not have Krud Killer. Instead I bought a container of their Drive Up Super Cleaner for $7.99.

I poured the cleaner on the oil stain and left it set overnight as per the instructions. The next morning I hosed off the area and you can see the results.

Thanks again for your replies.
