Has anyone put extra tow bulbs in the bottom spot on the tailight? I have a reciever towlight system that I use when towing the Honda, but the other day I noticed that the bottom lense doesnt do anything and it look like a traditional lense not a reflector. Any help?

I believe that My friends CRV has had the Tail lights modified that way! I Wish I could do that to My Tracker!

Yes, the 04, 05 and 06 CRVs have an extra blank taillight compartment that is the perfect place to add a towing light bulb. Starting in 2007, Honda eliminated the extra compartment and you have to position the towing bulb with the Brake/Directional signal bulb (tricky installation).

YEP! I put them in an '06 CRV. The hole cap is glue/ welded in so you'll have to drill it out and do a little cleanup with a knife or Dremel. There's a little bending of the new light tabs, but nothing serious.

If you Google it, a litle there is a guy out there that has posted pics, step by step and measurements for drilling. Saw it once but didn't save it when doing a friends.

Evidently, the new Suzuki Grand Vitara's tail lights are built the same way - but the extra spot is at the top of the tail light.
Still researching as I just bought one.
