We would like to winter in Florida this year and are trying to find some reasonable parks for long stay. We spent 2 winters in Arizona and would like to make a change. Anyone out there have any information to share please do.

We spent last winter at Sabal Palms Rv park in Palmdale Fl.
Remote, quiet, inexpensive, music twice a week....but no pool.
$350 month + electric.
Located just west of Lake Okeechobe.

We found that about half the "resorts" in Florida did not have heated pools or only heated a small pool/hot tub for the winter. Another question to ask when making reservations.

There are hundreds & hundreds of rv parks & resorts down here. What are your hobbies? What do you want to see & do while visiting? Some are parking lots, others more like state parks. Northern fla. can get pretty chilly in the winter. The further south you go will generally be more expensive. Prices run from $350 + elec. & up per month. We have visited your town Eugene a number of times, we love Oregon! Really wish it were closer so we could visit more often!

Hopefully you haven't missed the window of opportunity to reserve a spot. Larry and Penny Thompson in Miami (muni park) is nice. Price is $450 a month full hookup.

If you are interested in central Fl. about 40 miles north of Orlando, there's a park Sunshine, in Lady Lake, they have a pool, club house, games and most of all friendly people. The phone # is 352 753 2415 The price is 210.00 per month (last yrs rate, dont know if it changed). We stayed there 3 winters, close to everything you might want. Lou

Is it Ocala Ranch - now Ocala Sun RV Resort? We use it as an overnight going further south for the winter and in the spring when exiting FL and it's a pretty decent park.
