My wife and I have been discussing our winter plans. We usually go to Florida every year. Last year we spent some time in Texas before going back to Florida for the winter. We are looking hard at Arizona for this winter.
We are not new to Arizona, we have been there twice before but just a week at a time. We spent one week in Cottonwood and another week all around AZ. We like to ride in the desert on our small adventure motorcycles. We have looked at several places including Q, which is way too crowded for us. We want to be where we can take off to the desert every day on our street legal motorcycles.
We would like to know about some small towns with reasonably priced RV Parks with some activities?
Replys and PMs welcome!

Look at Benson, Arizona. Lots of good desert areas to run around in - lots to see. We spent over a month and didn't see it all. Also, Salome, Wickenberg, Casa Grande would be good places to look at.

Verde Valley (Cottonwood & Camp Verde). Lots of open spaces all around. Good RV parks in the area: Rancho Verde RV Park (our favorite) and Zane Grey RV Park are, in my opinion, the two best. There are several others in the valley. Distant Drums is just off I-17 across from the casino. I believe it's also the most expensive.

We are from Florida but have spent the last two years at Pueblo El Mirage Resort just west of Phoenix. Beautiful park with more activites than one can participate in. Also an 18 hole championship golf course in the resort which is very reasonable. A nice pro shop and restaurant also. The pool is huge with a waterfall and also hot tubs. This place is a TRUE resort. Very large sites. About 40 feet wide with paved pads for the RV. We are headed back there for our third year this coming Dec. Can't wait. Check it out.

If we get out there I would not mind getting to know someone that prospects.
I think it would be fun to do some of that this winter.
If I get the "gold fever" maybe I can take a couple of motorcycle rides and get over it?

Hi George, hope you had a good winter stay in Brenda. Did you go prospecting, only saw you at the coin hunt. My hubby has the fever! he goes a couple times a week and usually beings home a little bit. It all adds up in the end.
