Going to the Atl race in October. Any recommendations on campgrounds and since this will be my first time camping at a race. Any other advice would also be helpful. I'll be camping in a Seneca, I have recently purchased the genset exhaust, scanners, and the 20 ft flagpole is on the way also.

There is onsite camping at AMS. I personally have not used it, but it's very popular. The newest(and most expensive, I suppose) is right across from the front stretch and has a brand new bath house. Nice, but gets crowded fairly early from my experience.

Several people, from this forum, camp across the road, that runs to the left along side the track. We camp in the in-field. Hope we get to meet you.

It's not what you know, but who you know, a friend of a friend works for Pep Boys and was able to get me bumped into the in-field camping. As soon as this got around my non nascar friends seem more interested in going to the race?

I don't know how I got that first pic on

Last March we met at the Main Bath house/rest room.

Took some pics.
Scott and I picked Shirley and Steve up at the tunnel and brought them back to our site after the sunday race.

Went back in with them later that night, no security by then and saw there camper.
You have a great spot.

I will let you know what we come up with.

I just finally got a in touch with my contact at the track and not sure what number we are, he said to come to the tunnel and then I'll find out the number. Can't wait! Got the bus in the driveway loaded and ready to go to the track mid afternoon, hope the rain holds off.
