Any standard bottle jack of sufficient capacity. Remember, the higher capacity of the jack, the easier to pump, but the more pumps necessary. Also make sure the jack is small enough to fit under the jack point when the tire is flat and the wheel is resting on the ground.

Good point, and if you pull a boat it also needs to be considered. Boat axels are really low to the ground and the only thing I have found for that is a sissors jack. I have had more that enough experiance changing flat boat trailer tires, to my dismay. By the way, not a blown tire since I switched to Light Truck tires for the boat trailer.

This brings up another point.

If you have never had occassion to put it to use, you might want to check the jack that came with your truck to make sure it will work. Ford in their infinite wisdom apparently includes the same jack in all Super Duties from 1999 - 2007. From F250 2WDs to F350 4x4's and has made no allowance for the larger stock tire sizes they have recently gone to.

So while the jack will still work for an 07 2WD F250 with the smaller tires, it sure DOSEN'T work for my F350 with the stock 33" tires unless I place some wood blocks underneath the jack base.

Luckily I found this out in my yard when I had to jack a wheel up so I could rotate the tire to look for a nail in it.
