All the Fresh produce and fruit you could ever want. There are things I have never seen here in Illinois plus all the the great pineapples and grapefruit that are so juicy you have to wear a bib to eat them. I pick grapefruit off the trees in our campground and squeeze them for juice. We can't hardly wait to get back down there.

Like Treipalot says... wash it and enjoy....

Uhhh...not sure which RGV you are talking about but I have been a resident of the RGV for six years(not a winter Texan) and rarely, if ever does it freeze here. If that were the case, why would there be so many "winter" Texans here? It seldom drops below 40 degrees. It snowed here three Chirstmas' ago and that was the first time in 75 years.

I don't believe ole Gruffy knows where the RGV is located. It did get down into the upper 30's year before last, but this past winter it never got into the 40's that I can remember. I also have NEVER scraped frost.
BTW, I also agree, some of the best and cheapest fruits and vegetables anywhere.
I love walking across the street to my neighbor's and pulling grapefruit, oranges, and tangerines off his tree for FREE!! With his blessing of course.

Can't post the graph but if you go here the average low in Brownsville is below 30F......In January of course..... is that not part of the RGV??? Remember this is the average... we've hit 12 inches of snow outside of Corpus Christi....

Just make sure you wash that Mexican produce well....

If you would like Gruffy, I can give you the phone numbers to the loacl news stations so you can verify with them. The website you cite is so far from accurate it is commical, though I wish it was right.

And yes it did snow in Corpus, at the same time it snowed in the RGV. As I said that was the first time in 75 years. You do the math!

If I remember correctly, growing up in the Valley, that freezes are measured in hours not days. If one should last for days, you in trouble, if only for a few hours don't worry about it.

Y'all have fun now!!
