So, I was on my way back from Tarryall Reservoir today and saw someone leaving there who had a Rounded top Hard Shell Truck Camper. It was like an Alaskan, but hard sided. It was very unique and I wanted to see if anyone might know who manufactures or manufactured such a truck camper? It was silver or looked like the outside was sheet tin metal. Let me know if any of you know anything about this camper...Thanks!

Since you said it was silver could it have been an Earthroamer?

It was definitely a TC and it was on a four door Ford. I looked older, but we couldn't get close enough to see the brand.

I saw one about 15 years ago and it was not new then. The brand slips my mind right now but they were big and they made Airstream look alikes of several types. I think they are out of business now. Is it possible that the one you saw is that old? Other than that I cannot provide any information.
Another rounded top camper I saw back in 1991 was fiberglass and built a lot like a boat upside down. I was shopping for a used camper then and this one was old at the time but I have always thought that it was one of the most durable campers I have ever seen. I did not buy it because it was smaller than what I wanted and I have not seen anything like it since.

Might have been an Avion. Same family as Airstream.

Vanguard was one brand that did rounded corners (~12" radius I'd guess); 77 vanguard camper 69 camper not the best representation but... however I believe it's the early 70's they used the rounded corners (I- but it would have had a fiberglass nose & rear valance.

RAGster is correct, the name I was trying to think of was Avion. I got into truck campers in '91 and looked for one then but they had already left the truck camper market so if you saw one it had to be at least 20 years old. I do still see one occasionally so they must have been durable.

Yeah!!!! Both the DW and I commented that it looked like an Airstream...and I googled Avion and that is it! Wow, why did they stop those. I am going to start looking for one and completely do a refurb. That is awesome! Thanks for the replies.

Our first camper was a 1969 Travel Queen. They look like Basque sheep herder wagons.
