Black cats are special! We have had several share our lives and I think we always will!
This is "Missy". She was our first and sadly she is now waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge. My special sweetie!

This is "Chester". His nickname is "Nug" because he swiped a chicken McNugget as a kitten! He's a big boy, 15 years old!

The latest is "Miesha". We adopted her shortly after Missy passed. There was such a void in our home and this little girl fit in! She makes me believe in reincarnation: She is a very "kindred spirit" to Missy.

All three of these little black terrors have certainly put Hershey the Lab in his place!

What adorable kitty photos!
I'm afraid I don't have any black kitties. Right now we have a gray tabby named Maximus and tortoiseshell named Princess Cleo. Here they are playing in an antenna box that was actually about 10 feet long. We kept that box for over three months because they loved it so much. We cut a bunch of holes in the sides for kitty arms to stick through. They spent hours playing in or around it. It was too funny...

Pretty kitties!
Here's our two black beauties, that's Goldie (named for her gold/orange eyes) in the foreground and Blanca (named because our son thought it was a fun name for a black cat) in the back.

Goldie was a feral cat that adopted us when we first moved back to Oklahoma. She was a real WILD child. It took months just to be able to pet her and then a very long time before we could actually take her inside without her literally climbing the walls. When we moved in February we brought her with us and she adjusted pretty well in the new house. She still likes to go outside when the weather is nice, but almost always stays in our chain link fenced part of the yard. We only allow her out when we're home and always bring her in at night. She has come a long way baby.
We found Blanca while out walking our dogs. She was a teeny tiny kitten and came running right up to us, dogs and all, saying "me me me" which meant to us take me, take me. After checking with every nearby house we scooped her up and took her home... that was nine years ago now. We also call her MeMe since she still makes that sound instead of a real meow. She is the sweetest, most loving female cat I've ever had the pleasure to own and I've had a few.
The two of them had a very hard time adjusting to one another when we first starting bringing Goldie inside. Now they sometimes will share a chair but they aren't exactly loving towards each other. They are at least becoming accustomed to one another and don't hiss & fuss like they used to.

These are wonderful pictures. We have a gray (blue) and a gray and white. Ours were left at the vet with a poopy $5.00 bill years ago. 3 of the litter came to live with us, but one since passed. Max and Sophie are going strong at 11.

This is Lucy. She's almost 5 years old, and according to the shelter worker where we got her, is 1/2 Siamese. You wouldn't know it, except that she talks almost constantly! Very loving kitty. After about 6 months adjustment time, she gets along well with her (much) older brother Chester.
