There's a new View 24P model which has the back bunk beds AND a slideout.

I had seen the NavionIQ CL while on a business trip to AZ and recently my wife and I had the chance to see the DL at a VA dealer on the way home from a camping trip. We had been looking at the View/Navion as an upgrade from our Roadtrek. We want to do longer trips than the 3 weeks or so that we have done in the Roadtrek and the wife wants a full bathroom if she is going to travel longer.
We took the NavionIQ DL for a test drive. It seemed like a capable enough rig but the rear slide out bed didn't appear too functional for us. Our current Roadtrek has the rear dinette that we always leave as a bed so we would likely choose the NavionIQ CL and use it in the same fashion. We do quite a bit of outdoor living while traveling so the small tables forward would work well for us where the front sofa seems like quite a waste of space to us since we would never sleep more than 2 in the motorhome.
We'll see if we can find a deal on one. The NavionIQ DL we test drove was a 2008 left over that the dealer said we could get a great deal on. Too bad it wasn't the CL, we might have already bought it.

Enjoyed reading your comments about the Navion IQ, DL and was curious why you found the rear slide out bed not functional. I thought the queen size bed was one of the best features. What was your impressions of the dinette setup on the DL?

beeser,
Thought the bed was a good feature but since we use a rear dinette as a bed full time we leave it made as a bed, we would do the same in the CL and if we NEEDED to eat inside because of weather the small table behind the passenger seat would work just fine for the 2 of us. It appeared that to retract the slide for travel you'd have to unmake the bed. Also the forward table is OK but a little uncomfortable since the seat back is just about straight vertically and the small sofa on the passenger side that converts to a bed with the table appears to be a waste of space. We'd never use that for a bed since it is just the 2 of us so the forward configuration in the CL is a much better floorplan for us.

We moved the rear slide in and out a few times and you're somewhat correct about the bed. The back cushion partially rides over the one in front when retracted. The bedding gets a little messed up in the process but can remain intact. I thought the same about the sofa until it was pointed out to us that it's in a good position to view the TV over the dinette. Once the dinette table is moved out of the way the sofa makes a cozy area to lounge. There would even be room for a small foot rest. That said, the small dinette was the deal breaker for us. Good luck in your search for another RV.

We were looking at the DL, as well. Ultimately, be bought a standard Navion, but that's besides the point. Looking at the floor plans of the DL and CL, our initial thought was that the DL would be preferable. Standing inside the rigs, however, we discovered our preference actually for the CL. Driving the DL, we noticed a fair amount of rattling from the rear slide. The DL also seems a little claustrophobic, compared to the CL. The CL floorplan is much more open. If our choice had been strictly between the DL and CL, we'd have gone with the CL. Both are nice rigs, however.
Bob, if you are seriously looking for a deal on a CL, I believe Lewis in Dayton has at least a couple 08s on the lot, and are featuring them on their website. I think they are listing them under 70K at this point.

The sofa may be a good place to watch TV in that configuration..... but if you look at the NavionIQ CL floolplan the TV pivots to the driver's seat and the queen berth. This is very similar to what we have done with our Roadtrek by having the 17" LCD TV/DVD Player. We are still looking for the bargain NavionIQ CL....... It just works for us.

We also looked at NavionIQ's today. We just got back from our longest timewise trip recently and for the first time the Lexor kinda "closed in" on us and made the wife kinda hard to be around.
The IQ is a really nice looking rig and after looking at pics and brochures, thinking we'd like the DL, we liked the CL much better. Although at the same time having reservations about the size of the made up rear bed, and the fact that you have to climb over the other person from the rear most position to get up if you had to.
Loved the storage possibilities and the Winnebago workmanship, but the price probably killed it for us for now because of the credit market situation.
