There is a new 2007 Winnie 35L at my corner rv store. It is priced at 72% of MSRP. What do you think the (almost) 2 year discount should be on the MSRP?

I also have an inverter question. On our 2003 Brave the inverter runs only our entertainment center. Will a 600 watt inverter run the 110 outlets also? Thanks in advance, Oldcarfun

We boought a new 2007 last year and paid 68% of MSRP = 32% off. This was last Sept, just before the fuel prices jumped and the economy started falling. I'd say you should be closer to 40%+ now that its another year older and the economy is still down. Make your offer of what you feel is right and if they don't accept it, walk away....they'll probably call and discuss it further.

There is no chance a dealer will give you 50% off a new coach....Look at newer coaches and go for something in the 30% off range.

I think 40% sounds about right. If it is an '07, doesn't that really mean it was first on the lot in 2006? That is two years old. What is depreciation on that coach? Go to NADA and compare year to year to find out. 8% or so? Demartini will give you about 24% off an '09 just for asking right? So yes, I think 40% is about right or you are probably better off buying newer, IMO.

Funny stuff posted here. 50% off - LAUGHABLE!

While the market has in fact gone down it's not out. I actually think in a short time it's going to go the other way. The manufacturers have cut production big time to meet the new lack of demand, as soon as demand rebounds then what? The simple law of supply and demand has made the supply chain shrink - a lot. When the demand rebounds I think prices will too - a lot. The ball is swinging for sure, but at some point, and I don't think it's too far off, the ball will begin to swing back upward.

As for the OP, anything 30% off or better is reasonable. You can probably do a little better on a clean deal as there is probably a little back door money going to the dealer. 40% off is a joke - they're not going to give it away. Take a look at NADA used prices as well, just for reference. In the current market conditions they are high, but it is a reference.

Also be sure the "sticker price" is the true sticker - and Winnie does provide a true sticker price to look at.

I'd also bet someone will post they did indeed buy a new one at 40% off, and they'll believe it too.

Sorry I was being a wiseguy . There are to many pricing posts made here that would cause deals never to go through . I agree that 30 % maybe a bit more wpuld be good . Try to find out if there is any factory cash available .
