For those wondering if Verizon's LG Dare can take advantage of fastest Rev-A speeds, I can assure you it most certainly does!
Here's a speedtest using Verizon LG Dare tethered to my MacBook Pro, using VZaccess Manager:

Minutes later, same LG Dare operating attached to my Cradlepoint CTR350:
Keep in mind, your test results will vary based on type of cellular coverage, and signal to the tower.
I just happen to live nearby a very well fed Verizon Rev-A tower, and testing was done with excellent signal using a wireless repeater in my home/office testbench.

He is not using an air card, rather a cellphone tethered to a laptop.
FYI, I have the UM-150 aircard and Verizon's 5GB data plan for 59.95.

as mentioned above, you would need a voice plan, and then a 'data feature' option to allow the phone to be tethered/shared. how much total, depends on what voice plan you start with.

Being a Verizon user and, thus, not elligible for an iPhone, I have considered the LG Dare, among others.
Here are some observations (based on about 30 minutes of using it).
- The touchscreen is pressure sensitive instead of the more advanced capacitance-sensitive. I found it more difficult to use than the iPhone.
- Its camera, including video capture, is the best of the smartphones I have looked at.
- Its browser is anemic.
- Using to tether to a computer is a strong plus, but I didn't get to try this.

tethered/shared, does it use your minutes or unlimited data feature?

Ha, bring it to Lake Havasu City, AZ and see if you get the same speeds LOL
I think the term is 'Your mileage may vary'
The only real test is to compare it to another Verizon phone at the same location to see whether the speeds are due to Verizon's network at that point or the phone.
