I have to replace a broken older TV. Some questions: Has anyone had picture quality problems with LCD TVs in very cold weather? (Obviously not watching in below freezing temps, but if RV has been cold overnight.) Also, I'd like to transfer the TV back and forth from the RV to the house, to use as an extra TV in a spare bedroom - anyone install an LCD TV (19" - 22")with an easily removable mount system? I think the old TV just gave up after all the rough riding in the RV, so has anyone used some kind of cushioning to prevent this from happening with their retro-fit units. I've read several postings here and on the Class B sites, but there's been no mention of these things.

I have a 26" LCD that I installed last summer with a quick disconnect mount in my MH that allows for quick removal(so I can place it outside or wherever to watch). Works well and allows for solid transport. I bought the quick release mount on ebay new for 17 dollars.

When shopping for an LCD TV, be sure the viewing angle is good considering your setup. Most TV's are mounted high in RV's. Some pictures on LCDs disappear at that viewing angle.
I found a 26" widescreen Samsung This One For $647 (free Shipping No Tax) to work best for our particular RV application. It has a good low and side viewing angle. The raised but invisible controls face forward too which is better considering the sides and top were confined in our RV.

patty,
Do you have any pics of the mount you used? It sounds exactly what I'm looking for....

LCDs can be sluggish in cold weather. No big deal. Once they warm up they do OK.
I have never had trouble with my TV. It was tossed as soon as I took delivery.
