Ok, my neighbor is peddling a set of Nexes 245/75-16 Roadian HT -LT, load range E tires (made in Korea, at least not China) . He replaced them on a truck that he bought last year because they didn't fill the wheel well and look right. They have less than 4k miles on them. All I can find on them is prices, not much for reviews.
They seem to be a Bridgestone look alike, but....
Are they worth using for awhile or just a throw away tire?
Thanks for your comments in advance.

many of the Asian rim made LT/P tire were involved in a recall. Either way I personelly would not use them. Maybe for a fish shelter at the lake/my pond or maybe a old wood hauling trailer that never gets on the highway. Your call

I have seen plenty of Nexen Roadians around...I would try them.

We have used Nexen tires for thousands of miles on the diesel Passat without problems. I can't say the same for the Goodyear tires that I had on my Chrysler van.....

Never heard of them. I would say buy name brand tire. Personally I am a Michellin fan. Many many miles on the LTX M/S from Suburbans, to F150 and the Big Red Bus (Excursion). Never had a single tire failure or flat. Long wearing, good traction and quite.

I tend to agree with David. Used tires can be had for a dime a dozen at many used tire stores. I would not buy used tires from a neighbor, and especially so an off brand tire with no guarantee. Unless of course you need some cheep skins to put on to sell the vehicle.

Tires made in Japan are better quality than tires made in N America.

I passed on the tires. I couldn't talk him down from the $500 he wanted. Found that they could be delivered to my door for $500 and change, new, with a warranty. A couple of tire shops here sell them and have had very good luck with them. But, anything over $2- $250 is to much for anything without a warranty.
Hey, thanks for the input guys. It is much appreciated.
