Yup, a year ago Labor Day weekend. An electric scooter I had purchased only about a month before. Pushed it into my enclosed trailer, didn't feel a need to lock the trailer, plenty of other stuff (canoes, kayaks, etc.) laying out in plain sight. Next morning went to get it out, it was gone. Made me sick. And it was worth nothing to the thief, because I had the charging unit in the MH. An additional tragedy is that for $325 I had another one (which I'm more careful with), but the thief is still a thief and will have to live with that for the rest of his life.

In 40+ years, exactly one theft while camping. It was a 25 cent plastic cover on the unused half of my fresh water Y connector when the guy next to me pulled in even though he hooked up to his own water line. It was there, I walked around to the other side. He walked to the faucet, I went back not a minute later to hook up my water hose and the cap was gone. Torqued me off to no end. I left the next morning.

I witnessed a couple of drunken women stealing firewood from a the camp site next door. I asked them if they knew the occupants. "No, but they have so much wood they won't miss it". I just shook my head and told them they were pathetic. Later the ranger kicked them out for noise I think.

Yep, 2 new bikes off back rack of MH while camping on Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Desk clerk didn't mention they had similar problems when we signed in that night. Cut through lock wire, so they were methodical. Insurance covered after police report.

Not a problem so far. We have only been 'motorhoming' for the last 4 yrs. The first three years were with rental units and now for the last 16 months, with our own.
RV folks seem to be the nicest, most honest people that you can meet. There are always a few bad apples that we could run across and so far we haven't.
Looks like most people here haven't had many problems.

No, not a thing.
We camp mostly in BLM, State parks or National Forests so we're usually off by ourselves. We don't lock up anything but the doors, just fold up the chairs at night and lean them against the ice chests....
