I agree with the thoughts abut an empty "P" trap. Run a wash cycle with hot water and bleach after you clean the filter.
I hope you find the problem.
Where is the lint filter???....didn't even know it had one.

I had the exact same problem about 2 yr ago in my Beaver Monterey. The smell had nothing to do with the washer/dryer combo itself, but rather the drain system. The drain hose was not sealed where it hangs into the downpipe that drains into the grey tank, just like the one in a house. When there was not enough water in the p-trap (usually from sloshing out), the fumes from the grey tank would be able to enter the coach. The amount of fumes was greater when there were a few gallons of water in the grey tank to slosh around and force them out. The fix to this problem was very simple - I got some plumber's putty, rolled it into a rope approx 3/8 inch diameter and put enough around the washer/dryer drain hose where in goes into the downpipe to form a good seal. This completely eliminated the fumes. Also, this does not affect the drainage for the washer (we use it a lot) because the water in the p-trap is supposed to do the same thing and seal the system , if it hasn't sloshed out.
