We are about to set off to Moab from Seattle to Yakima, Pendleton, Salt Lake etc.. My wife is concerned that gas will be out or short supplys will leave us stranded. Can anyone give us some information? Should we start out and turn back at the first experience of gas rationing or extremely high prices? We plan to go in one day.

Thanks,
Curt

I think she is watching CNN and drawing conclusions, I looked up the gas prices on line and found no problem but the news on tv is different.

I am not worried about the supply of gas in the northwest, or the east, but some gulf coast states might find it difficult for the trucks to deliver the fuel to the stations due ot flooded out side roads.

Check out the Flying J website. The only shortages are in direct Hurricane areas. Have Fun at Moab. We're heading there next May.
