Can anyone advise if the 245 70 r 19.5 tire and wheel will fit in the stock spare location on a 2005 GMC 2500/3500 HD?

Can't directly answer your question. I have an 06' Dodge w/Super Hitch and 265's in 19.5". Had to completely deflate the tire to make it fit. Pacbrake onboard air allows inflation in case of emergency.

I have a Goodyear 245/70/19.5 in there now - no problem for the '04 Chevy 3500. I even have a Hellwig sway on with no clearance issues - and a Superhitch!

Can't help with the GMC but on my Ford it fits with about a 1/4 inch to spare (pun intended!). I have the Visions with Goodyear G647 RSS 245 70R19.5G’s. Later, Dave.
