Do you have vent covers? If you do, leave the vents open so that misture can't build up. Dryer sheets sometimes deter mice, but sometimes they don't bother the little critters. You best bet to keep mice out it to go around underneath the TT and seal up everywhere that you think a mouse could get in. Good luck!

Might want to check with your insurnce company if your policy covers rodent damage. If yes, that will give you some more peace of mind.

For the moisture/mildew: Go to Boater's world or the like and get 8 "Mildew bags". Hang them evenly spaced in the MH and in the "Basement". The vapors emitted will cause your eyes to burn and is very uncomfortable for critters.

Plug as much as you can, including putting metal screen over the exhaust outlet. Sealing the intake won't hurt either (critters will eat the filter).
Also, do not leave the water tank drain open (critters will use it to gain access to the tank and nest).

The best defense is prevention.

Im a first time TT 'winterizer' too. No one has mentioned 'Dry Z Air' is that a no-no for TT's? And as asked, how about an electrical dehumidifier?

One more question - if I dont cover the TT wont the nasty pacific NW winter trash\fade the paint?

Thanks all, learning every day

For moisture we put kitty litter in cupcake papers and place them at various parts of the trailer. Also leave the vents open a crack (We use the Maxxi Vent covers.) We have never had any moisture problems.

Retirement: Waking up with nothing to do and going to bed with half of it done.
