I have GMAC insurance with complete road side assistance and towing, at least that what was stated when I purchased the policy. After having a major break down and had to be towed from Dalton GA. to Chattanooga TN. I found out my towing is ONLY 100% if involved in an accident. The roadside assistance portion of the towing is only $50.00. I don't know of a tow truck driver that will get out of bed for $50.00 not alone tow a MH 25 miles.

An expensive lesson learned, read the fine print of your insurance police and DO NOT rely on a verbal sales job. I can say one thing, GMAC road side assistance was very helpful, very professional and knew what they were doing when it came to a problem with the MH. However, I will be adding Coach Net before our next trip.

Some companies pay the tow if you break down. I'll check mine it's State Farm.

Has anyone had any experiences with Allstate that is marketed and promoted by KOA....even comes with a free KOA card each year. They also give you an extra card for your spouse.
I'm beginning my second year with them and just hope I never have to find out how good they are, as I never did with AAA. Price wise, it's the best deal out there.

That's the main reason I have Coach-Net road side assistance. In 2006 I had a break down on a Saturday and had to be towed to an RV park for the weekend and then towed 160 miles to repair shop. They payed for both tows with no questions asked. Like they say "don't leave home without it". Happy Trails. BobW

That is what GMAC said when I purchased the policy. However, that was not the case when I needed it. Do check your policy or ask your agent to explain where it is located in your policy that you have 100% coverage in a break down situation, no matter how far the CORRECT repair facility is.

As another poster mentioned, I almost had to have a double tow which would NOT have been covered for the second tow at all. I was fortunate to get Cummins to open the gate at 10:30 PM to let us in, or we would have been in a camp ground for the night with a re-tow in the morning. All of this in a blinding rain storm on top of everything else. I found out the hard way, too many things can go wrong without proper coverage. Hello....Coach Net?

I had Allstate and had to have a tire changed. All the while the fellow was working on the tire he was complaining about the cheap rates that Allstate pays and how lucky I was that he came because no one else would come for those rates. While he never came right out and asked for a tip he sure hinted the whole time he was there. He didn't get one either.

We have GMAC ins. I rejected the breakdown ins. and carry Coach Net through FMCA.

I have both Good Sam and RV Roadhelp. Good Sam will not tow my enclosed trailer and RV Roadhelp will. Both have their good points.
