I have a 1991 Southwind 35 foot on an Oshkosh chassis with a Ford 460 cu in fuel injected engine.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the code reader plug in.

Any help will be appreciated....

Under hood between battery and left front fender.
Should be a red connector.

I don't think there is on on a vehicle that old. I'm thinking they became available on most vehicles in 1999. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Not motorhomes. The ford F53 did not have it until 99.

I think you're right, but maybe not on the actual year.

Most passenger vehicles got OBD2 in 97, some models as early as 96. As many have said, your OBD1 connector should be under the hood on the driver side. OBD1 'readers' are inexpensive, but they are not much more than counters (if they count at all like mine). I read an article several years ago that described how to get the codes with a multimeter on the OBD1 port but I never persued it.

Pre V-10 F-53 have EEC-IV (OBD-I). Port is usually in dog house, left side, rear. V-10 F-53 went with OBD-II. The rules were different based upon weight of vehicles thus motorhomes didn't change over when cars did.
