After reading many, many posts where the Wannabe's were waiting to sell their homes in spring, fall, winter or summer of 20**, (whenever) I wonder where they are now.
Did you start your fulltiming adventure as planned?
Is it everything you expected?
Were you totally disappointed?
What are some of the unexpected things you have learned about the lifestyle and how it has changed your lives.
It would be fun to hear the continuation of their story after they finally sold their stick/brick, bought their fulltiming rig and started their new life.

Check back Sep 1, 2013. At least, that's the earliest we can escape and still get full retirement pension. In the meantime, I'll work and plan and dream.

Started early this year. I have to admit I've almost thrown the towel in a couple of times already but mostly due to frustrating/puzzling MH problems.
Pulled into a CG the other day after one of my more 'trying' days driving and a bubbly friendly camper came up to the MH before I even got out and said how's things going?
I guess I kinda snapped at him, I think I said something to the tune of "I'm tired of living in a truck!" as he took 2 steps backwards and retreated to his site!!:
All in all I finally figured out one of my MH problems today and I am parked in the woods all alone listening to the crickets and frogs and once again thankful for the opportunity to be able to full time.
Yesterday ended last night and I am looking forward to many tomorrows on the road.

Rockhillmanor... I have to admit we went through some of those times also. I guess we all do. Now we can look back and see we made it through each time with no major scars. I think when you wake up the next morning in a nice area that you are in, you realize it wasn't as major as it seems when you're in the thick of it . We still don't like mechanical issues with the motorhome.

There was one week where I knew we had the MH from Hell - - we were stuck in Rawlins, Wyoming and I was sure I would be there when the snow fell! Of course we got the problem fix, actually found a truck repair service that was nice, efficient, and ethical and were on the way again. It does get better and you will get to know your MH better and better. One of the great helps is to see if there is an owner's group for your brand of MH. I can't begin to tell you the number of times I would post a question on the Alpine's owners forum and get a quick reply - and now that we are 'orphans', this forum is now an invaluable tool for all of us.

Our RV is parked in the drive next to the house. DW is slowly disposing of all the accumulative thing that will not be going with us. I.E. came home and living room set was gone. We are curently makeing the house nice nice so it will sell in these tight times. Fingers are crossed for April of '09.
