Ask if road service is for any break down or just an accident. Your contents are usualy covered by your homeowners policy if you have one. It should also cover overnight stays until unit is fixed and a rental car.

Have had Progressive for 2 years. I've had 2 small comp claims and both were handled promptly. New premium just came in and was same as last year. The deductible does decrease for no claims and reverts back to the original deductible with claims. I also own a body shop and do a lot of work for Progressive and they are more responsive than some of the other companies.

This may not be a real help, but our insurance is with USAA. USAA uses Progressive for their motorhome insurance. We have had no problems with USAA and they have a great reputation. So I would say if USAA trusts them, then I would too.

I would also be interested in what others have to say.

We have had Progressive insure our motor homes for about 9 years now. Had one claim for a new windshield and one road service. Both were handled well. In fact, the road service was last July, and the poor guy was on the phone for an hour finding some one to come out and fix the motor home as we sat along side the road in southern Wy. It was a Saturday afternoon and he said he called 6 different companies to find some one that could fix us along side the road. (left rear air brake can developed a air leak and locked up the brakes in our Dutch Star) He did and it was fixed with in a hour after he found the right group to do the work. They kept in touch the whole time and called back when the job was done to make sure it was done to our sastifaction. I was impressed!!!!

That's a great rate!

I had two claims which went well. I had a slight problem with the second adjuster, but I wouldn't have fared better with any other company.

I like that they have special adjuters for RV issues, and I'm not dealing with someone who doesn't know anything about a RV.

Have had them for 3 years no with no claims. Each year the rate has decreased.

We've been with Foremost now for 13 years and with our first coach and had a claim of over $9,000, major vandalism & burglary. They took care of it with absolutely no hassle and no increase in premiums.

We've filed several claims on our present coach, 4 windshield replacements and 2 debris awning replacements and received the same no hassle service on claims and no premium increase.

Needless to say we're very satisfied with their "no hassle" claim service and have no interest in changing carriers.

Now that we all own an insurance company (AIG) shouldn't we be able to cover our rv's for free?

They lived up to their name, every year they "progressively" raised their rates!! The kicker was when I got a broken windshield on the Jeep, called them and asked what it would cost going through them, they ABSOLUTELY refused to give the info out till I said (as coached by the rep.) "I want to file a claim", then they gave me the info which was double the $$ of not going through them. Then I found out that they took away my claim free status and raised my rates for the "claim" that never cost them a ยข! So I went looking for new insurance and found that they were reporting the "claim" to any ins co that inquired about my record! I called the State Ins Com., they said it wasn't illegal but was a very questionable tactic. Now have GMAC and just got the renewal, they took away our full replacement on the MH and gave us just purchase price. That full coverage was one of the reason I liked GMAC. Tried AARP, they came in at about $1,200 a yr MORE than GMAC for the same coverage. Guess we'll stay with GMAC for now.
