When my family and I camp all the kids have a job to do when setting up. My six year old daughter tells me when the level bubble on the side of the HTT is centered as I crank the tongue. This has worked fine all summer or so I thought. Last weekend she tells me it's not level and to wait a second. "Now it is Daddty". I ask her how she made it level when I did not turn the crank. She proudly shows me that all she does is move the level, which is adhessive and gives,.I could tell her move of the level was considerable as it felt off level inside. So before I install the new leveler with screwsw do I level by fridge frame? Counter top? both? I am guessing the fridge. What do you think is best? Thanks in advance.

I use the floor and frame to find level.

Don't forget to give her a hug and commend her on her creativity.
Then show her with the big level what you meant. She'll learn a lot from that whole experience.
Congratulations!

Pretty creative on your daughter's part to figure out an easy solution!! I level my level based on the frame and floor level. But I sometimes wonder how accurate you can make these small levels by using this method since they are only about 3 inches long.

I'm a contractor and use a 6'-6" level to install 6'-8" doors. I use a 4" level to level a 28' motor home......go figure!

I do it on the floor because your fridge will still be within the tollerances of operation. If it's not then you've got bigger problems.

BTW my 5 year old almost did the same thing but I caught her before she twisted it. Kids are definitely creative.

Thanks to all for your input on this. My daughter and I will be putting a long level on the floor and a one foot level in the fridge bottom. We will go with the fridge in case of a disagreement between the two. I figure the fridge is most important tnd the floor should be close. We shall see.
